Yesterday's wedding with Jenn+Bryan began with a slight bump in the road when the hipster barbershop where the boys were scheduled for the Shave and a Scotch package pencilled them in for the day before. Temperatures rose hotter than steamed towels, then everything worked out. And as Bryan said, if this is the biggest problem we are going to have today then it's smooth sailing ahead. And how apt with a nautical theme at a waterfront museum and great weather it was a perfect day here in Vancouver..

The Vancouver Canucks NHL hockey club is into the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs this week against the San Jose Sharks.

My new bike arrived this week after my three-speed beauty was stolen while we were away last fall. Well worth the wait, but may take a while to get used to so many bells and whistles on this cyclo-cross Brodie. On my way to pick up books from Fedex today had my first spill complete with elbow and knee cherry road rash - bike and books all good.
